My Everday Hero

With in the last year my mom has been dealing with bile duct cancer and liver cancer. Recently the cancer in her liver has come back and has possibly spread to her lungs as well

Around Christmas of 2014 she had 35% percent of her liver removed- this surgery was the start of a journey of chemo, more surgery and more scans. A journey we were all not expecting.

My mom was my soulmate and hero before this, during this and she will be after this.

Situations like this really put into perspective as to what really matters in life- family.

I recently photographed the scar that was left from her first surgery- her battle wound.
